The tool of forgiveness is the bridge that brings teams together.

Accountability shapes your leadership style, knowing you will stand behind your decisions helps your team buy into your vision.

“I am the master of my fate, the captain of my soul”  Nelson Mandela

Know that decisions are often not based on good vs. evil the grey area can make decision-making complex. Looking at all options for a solution can help you seek the long-term objective. Each decision you make can set your course for creating vision. The price you pay for the risks of your decisions becomes clearer as time passes.  As a young leader, I was asked to fire an employee, I did not agree with the decision to fire but my fear of losing my own job led me to support this decision. My guilt led to me losing faith in my decision-making and I later ask for forgiveness of the employee. I should have stood up for the employee and I was blessed later in life to help the employee with another job.  From that experience, I realized each decision needed thought, strategy and time because I had to decide would I hang on the cross or be the person pounding the nails.  Decisions carry consequences and leaders consult mentors to ensure the correct decisions are made.

Leaders exceed expectations and I learned that to ensure success I needed to learn the expectations clients had for my company and to share my expectations with my team.

Success doesn’t come to you.
You must go to it.
You don’t need more strength
or more ability or greater opportunity.
What you need is to use what you have. The golden opportunity you’re seeking is in yourself.
It’s not in your environment.
It’s not in luck or chance or the help of others.
It’s in you.

There will always be a new opportunity
where there is an open mind and a willing hand.

Open your own door to opportunity.
